| The following are questions received from exhibitors |
|
Question: Is Wi-Fi available at the tourney site?
Answer: The building does have Wi-Fi and they are charging vendors $125 for using it. We asked about individual use at a lower rate and they said that is their only rate. |
|
Question: Is parking close enough to crate out of the car?
Answer: Parking for the event will not be close enough to crate out of your vehicle. |
|
Question: Are you still planning on having singles and pairs on Friday night? If so can you tell me if it will be the regular format (2 races 4 of 4) and approximately what time racing will start?
Answer: Singles and Pairs are not offered at night. They are only offered during the Singles and Pairs championship on Friday. The event will start in the morning, probably around 8 am but will not be confirmed until all entries have been received. The format is not set but it will probably be 2 out of 3 in some type of round robin or elimination racing format. Final racing format will not be determined until all entries have been received. |
|
Question: Since it is a limited tournament are the teams selected on a first come first serve basis or.....does everyone get at least one team in?
Answer: We are following the procedure outlined in the rule book: When entries received exceed the class limit, entries will be accepted in the order received. Once sorted by date of receipt, host clubs will accept 1 team from each of the clubs entered. If after accepting one team from each entered club, the class limit still has not been reached, a second team from each requesting club will be accepted. This process will be repeated until all available openings have been filled. Once the host club has determined how many entries per club will be accepted, the host club shall notify each entered club. Clubs that did not have all of their team entries accepted will have 48 hours to specify which teams will fill the allotted slots and verify the seed times. |
|
Question: We are sending in a championship team and a regular one. How are the championship teams handled? Are those limited too?
Answer: Championship teams are not limited. You must be eligible per the U-Fli rules of eligibility and have qualified at one of this years racing qualifiers. |
|
Question: Do you accept credit card payments or do the entries and payments have to be sent in together?
Answer: We do not accept credit card payments. The payment and entry form are not required to be sent together but preferred for record keeping purposes. An entry is not valid until the entry fee and entry form are received. They will be put in order based on the date and time when both items are received. |
|
Question: On the entry form do we need to mark which team is our championship team?
Answer: Please send separate entries for championship, dream team challenge, singles and pairs championship, and one each day of the regular tournament -Barkin In Memphis flyball tournament. Separate entry forms for each event each day are required. This will enable us to organize entries in order of date received, for each event, to follow the procedure of selecting teams for a limited tournament. |
|
Question: When is singles and pairs championship racing starting on Friday?
Answer: We anticipate starting at normal racing time, 8 am-ish. Start of racing depends on number of team entries and how much racing we have each day. This information will be available after the events close. |

Question: With the August qualifier being so close to your closing date, that makes it almost impossible for the mailman to get you our entries by 09/03/08, as we can't send them unless we qualify.
Answer: We needed to close this event ASAP because of the huge amount of racing formats, divisions, round robins, elimination brackets, racing schedule, etc left to work out before championships. I apologize for the short time period but every qualifying team entered in Talladega should qualify, assuming each team can run at least one heat, except for division 6. Each division will accept 3 teams. All of the divisions, except division 6, have no more than 3 teams, therefore complete one heat and you are qualified. Division 6, I suggest sending in your entries as if you will qualify and if you will not. We will be in Talladega and can return whichever entry you don't need to you. For the other divisions, if for whatever reason you can’t complete your heat, we will refund your entry to you. If you want to wait, I will be in Talladega. You can give me your entries then but the tournament may have filled up by then. |
|
Question: Do you have information on motels?
Answer: We have motels listed on our tournament information site located at the following link. |
|
Question: Will there be hook-ups for our Flyball Trailer at the tournament sight?
Answer: There is an rv park at the show site but the camping spots are not close to the building. |
|
Question: Where will the Flyball people park their cars on the days of the tournaments?
Answer: You will be allowed to unload and load in the morning and at the end of the day. Parking will be in the public parking areas located around the facility. There will not be separate flyball parking areas. |
|
Question: What is meant by Singles & Pairs Championship? Is that different than a regular Singles & Pairs racing?
Answer: We are not offering "standard" singles & pairs racing. The singles and pairs championship will be ran under a different format. The format will be decided after entries have closed and will be based on the number of singles and pairs that enter the event. It may consist of a round robin and or elimination bracket racing. Races may consist of best of 3 rather than standard 4 of 4 racing. |
|
Question: Why is the championship entry
fee considerably higher than last year's fee? Answer: Unlike in years past, this year championship will include two days of racing. The first day will consist of a full day of racing and the second day will be an elimination racing format. We are estimating 6 hours of 2 ring racing on Saturday and 3 hours of 2 ring racing on Sunday. Length of racing times may differ based on actual number of entries and racing formats. The awards for championships cost considerably more than normal awards for standard tournaments. |
|
Question: Do I have to enter an "all
breed" team to be able to compete on Friday's Dream Team Challenge? Answer: No. Friday's dream team challenge is a standard tournament where all teams will be considered as pickup teams. Seed times are required with your entry. Divisions will be created based on seed times. All teams are eligible for placement in their division. All teams are eligible for earning title points and the 5 title point bonus for winning the heat. Teams fastest times will not be recorded and shown on the U-Fli website as a team's official fastest time. A separate link on the U-Fli website will show team's fastest times and placements for the Dream Team Challenge. Some exhibitors are putting together "all breed" teams. Other exhibitors are entering their normal club teams. Some exhibitors are arriving early without their teams and entering a dog on someone's pickup team. We encourage everyone to make themselves available by communicating on the U-FLI email list so that everyone can have a chance to play on Friday with or without their normal teams. If you would like to race in the Dream Team Challenge but are unable to enter a full team, send in your entry as a single dog and we will randomly make a team for you with other single dogs. (Use the team entry form, not the singles racing form) |

Question: I need to be crated next to
another team because we are helping each other, is that possible? Answer: We understand that teams will be helping other teams, so we will do our best to accommodate crating requests. If you need to be crated next to another team please indicate on your entry or send an email to tim@fetchinfrenzi.org. Please be considerate of our planning and organization time. We ask that you only send in requests if you have a serious need to be next to someone. Trying to arrange 50+ teams with special requests would be an overwhelming task. |
