Welcome

Thank you for entering the St. Jude’s Showcase of Dogs Tournament.  We appreciate your entry and support for this tournament.  We had 17 teams enter for Friday, 30 teams for Saturday and 28 teams for Sunday.  There are several teams on Friday with multiple teams.  Due to low number of teams entered on Friday, we will be able to slow the pace of racing to help with the back to back racing.  We tried to put at least one race between all of the clubs.  We tried to put at least 7 races between the teams. Some teams only have 4 to 5 races to cool your dogs down before they are up again to race.  We apologize for short period of rest, it was the best we could do with the configuration of the teams.  We have scheduled a break during the day.  If more breaks are needed or you need more time, please let us know and we will accommodate you the best we can.

You can find racing schedules, division seedings, and general information about the tournament from the following information. Agility, Obedience, Confirmation, Doggie Fun Zone, Canine Good Citizen, and many other dog events will held at the show site.  Be prepared, there will be lots of vendors set up for all of your doggie shopping needs. The racing and judging schedule will be available at the site. Copies will be available at check-in. 

Crating & Runback: The majority of the crating areas will be in the D wing.  Any extra or overflow areas will be in the amphitheater. Each crating area will be taped and labeled with your team name. Crating area sizes will be based on the number of teams you have entered. The building will be open on Thursday for setup. You can check out the following link for a layout map of the building. http://www.agricenter.org/floorplans.html The runback area for the racing lanes is 80 feet.
Electricity: There are wall receptacles along the walls and columns of the crating area.  You may use an extension cord to bring power to your area.  Please tape down your extension cord in walkways.
Parking Passes: Parking passes will not be given.  You will be required to pay to park. The showcase committee has not announced the price for parking.  You will be allowed each day before the event begins and after the event ends to load and unload next to the building.  Please be considerate of your time because we have several teams and other exhibitors in other sports loading and unloading.  Please be mindful of the parking rules established by the showcase committee.  They will tow vehicles left in loading and unloading areas.
Racing Numbers: Thank you to Jane Kline with Music City Road Dogs for providing the electronic race number system.  The crating area is in another room from the racing lanes. We will provide electronic race numbers in the crating areas.
Admissions: The showcase committee will be charging admission at the gates.  You can pick up wrist bands at check in for your team members.  These wrist bands will gain you access to the show for the entire weekend.
RV Parking: The RV park is divided into two sections at the time of the show. One half is for everyday camping and the other half is dedicated to the Showcase of Dogs event. The showcase committee will provide an on-site person to collect fees for RV parking.  They have not established an amount at this time.  The committee has not furnished any information on how they are handling reservations. More information will be posted as soon as it is available.  There will not be full hook up sites available, only sites with water and electricity are available. The website says confirmations will be given for online registrations. I have not been able to reach the person handling the RV reservations. I will continue to call and find out what is going on with the confirmations.

Meals: The show site will have several vendors. The show site is off of Germantown Parkway. Germantown Parkway has several eating establishments.  You can find any of your major fast food restaurants.  There are other restaurants such as but not limited too: Outback, Abners, Chili's, Perkins, El Porton, Corky's, Fox n Hound, Hueys, Applebees, Jason's Deli, Moe's, Pizza Hut within minutes of the show site.
Veterinarian: The event normally has a mobile vet on-site.  In the event you cannot find the show vet, the nearest vet is located north on Germantown Parkway. PetMed Veterinary Emergency - 830 N. Germantown Pkwy, #105, Cordova, TN  38018 Phone: 901.624.9002 It is a 24 hour emergency animal hospital.

Volunteers Needed: Thanks to all the teams that have so graciously responded with offers to help. We will need help each day line and box judging. Please try and leave a box judge behind after each race. A ticket will be given to anyone who line or box judges a race.  There will be two $25 gift cards each day to enter your ticket for an end of day drawing. Jill Rank will be working the score table on Saturday and Sunday. If anyone is available, please try to give her some relief. We do not have a designated person to run the score table on Friday. If you can provide any assistance, your help would be greatly appreciated. 
Reminders:

You must have a crn on your dog for them to be eligible to run on a team. Internet access will not be available on-site.

Remember to pick up after your dog.  The show site will have several areas designated as doggie relief areas.

The Showcase Committee requests that dogs are  walked on a leash no longer than 6 feet.
